Casa Grand has appointed Jasira Building Contracting as main contractor for its first UAE project. Foundation work is complete, and the appointment moves construction into its next phase.

Representatives of Casa Grand and Jasira Building Contracting signed their agreement at Casa Grand's Dubai office on October 13, 2026. Jasira will serve as the main contractor for Casa Grand Hermina on Dubai Islands. The handover target is the second quarter of 2028, as Gulf Daily News reported.

Foundation work is complete, clearing the way for the next construction phase.

Hermina is Casa Grand's first project in the UAE. The company's Dubai director, Lotfullah, called the contractor appointment an important milestone and said Casa Grand was focused on its schedule and quality standards. Jasira general manager Mohammed Kunikkal said the team was ready to proceed. He cited quality and safety as priorities, and also pointed to delivery timelines.

Casa Grand says its UAE expansion plan covers more than 6 million square feet, or about 557,400 square metres, of residential and mixed-use development over three years. The company says the programme draws on more than 22 years of development experience. Its portfolio includes over 180 completed and ongoing projects.

Dubai Islands is a Nakheel coastal development off Deira's historic shoreline. The project comprises five islands across about 18.6 square kilometres. Its master plan envisages more than 230,000 residents and around 62,000 homes. The plan also includes over 11,000 hotel rooms and more than 4,000 branded residences.

On October 8, 2026, Nakheel announced a separate marine and beach works contract for Island B. The package will add about 320 metres of beach near Bay Villas and upgrade roughly 3 kilometres of the western shoreline. Completion is planned for the fourth quarter of 2027. The work includes new coastal protection and changes to the existing shoreline, according to ARN News Centre.

Bay Villas, also on Island B, comprises 636 villas and townhouses. In August 2025, Nakheel awarded Fibrex Contracting a separate construction contract worth AED 2.6 billion for the development. The Bay Villas contract is separate from Casa Grand Hermina. Both projects form part of the wider development of Dubai Islands.

Founded in 2003 and headquartered in Chennai, Casa Grand operates in several major Indian cities. Its markets include Bengaluru and Hyderabad, as well as Coimbatore and Pune. The company's Dubai office manages international sales. Casa Grand says its portfolio covers more than 88 million square feet of residential space and serves more than 55,000 customers. It is also expanding into commercial and industrial property.

Dubai has also seen other project handovers, including the separately reported Meydan project handover. Casa Grand Hermina is scheduled for handover in the second quarter of 2028.
