Advertising Revenue

Dubai Times currently displays advertising through Google AdSense.

Advertising may generate revenue for the publication, but advertisements are separate from editorial decisions.

The presence of advertising alongside an article does not mean the advertiser commissioned, approved or influenced that article.

Editorial Independence

Commercial relationships do not determine editorial conclusions.

Advertisers and other commercial organisations cannot purchase:

  • positive editorial coverage;
  • favourable editorial conclusions;
  • suppression of accurate criticism;
  • corrections unsupported by evidence;
  • positive reviews;
  • higher editorial ranking positions;
  • editorial approval rights;
  • guaranteed publication.

Paid visibility does not determine editorial ranking position.

Sponsored Editorial Content

Dubai Times does not currently publish or sell sponsored editorial content.

This includes sponsored articles, advertorials, paid editorial interviews and paid commercial explainers presented as ordinary editorial material.

See the Sponsored Content Policy.

Affiliate Links

Dubai Times does not currently use affiliate links as a monetisation method.

Editorial recommendations are therefore not currently designed to generate affiliate commission from reader purchases.

Paid Reviews and Rankings

Dubai Times does not currently sell positive editorial reviews or editorial ranking positions.

Businesses cannot pay to become the editorial "best", "top" or highest-ranked option.

Press Releases

Press releases and company announcements may be submitted to the editorial team as potential source material.

Dubai Times does not currently sell paid press-release publication as an editorial product.

Submitting a press release does not guarantee publication, republication, a link or favourable treatment.

Partnerships

Partnership proposals may be considered separately from editorial decisions.

A partnership relationship does not automatically create favourable editorial coverage.

Relevant proposals may be sent to partnerships@dubaitimes.org.

Conflicts of Interest

Authors and editors should disclose relevant financial, commercial or personal conflicts that could reasonably affect editorial judgement.

Gifts, hospitality, access or other benefits should not determine editorial conclusions.

Where a material conflict is relevant to reader understanding, appropriate disclosure may be required.

Corrections and Commercial Relationships

Commercial organisations may report genuine factual errors through the ordinary Dubai Times corrections process.

Advertising expenditure, partnership discussions or other commercial activity does not create special authority to change accurate editorial reporting.

Corrections are assessed according to evidence.

Commercial Boundaries

Dubai Times does not promise advertisers or commercial partners:

  • guaranteed editorial publication;
  • positive editorial conclusions;
  • guaranteed SEO results;
  • guaranteed search rankings;
  • guaranteed Google Discover visibility;
  • guaranteed traffic;
  • guaranteed conversions or sales;
  • suppression of accurate negative coverage.

Changes in Ownership or Funding

If ownership, publisher identity or funding arrangements change materially, Dubai Times will update its public publisher information to reflect the current structure.
