Europcar Dubai (EurGulf) and VIP Rent a Car have signed a new deal at Arabian Travel Market 2026, aiming to make travel easier for nearly seven million international visitors as Dubai's tourism sector grows.

Dubai's rapid growth in international tourism has put new demands on the city's transport sector. Europcar Dubai and Northern Emirates, run by EurGulf Mobility, and VIP Rent a Car have now signed a partnership at Arabian Travel Market 2026 to address these needs. The deal was reported by UAE media, including The National.

In August 2026 alone, Dubai welcomed about 869,000 international visitors. Over the first eight months of the year, the total reached 6.97 million. This surge has increased pressure on transport providers to offer fast, reliable, and connected services. The Dubai Department of Economy and Tourism reported that August was the strongest month for inbound tourism since February, showing the city's steady recovery and continued appeal.

Official figures show that Western Europe made up 20% of Dubai's inbound tourism from January to August 2026, followed by South Asia (17%), GCC countries (16%), and the CIS and Eastern Europe (14%). This mix of visitors is driving demand for premium, digital-first mobility options that can meet different expectations and cultural needs, as noted in recent coverage by Gulf News.

This agreement builds on a partnership that started in 2023. Now, the companies are combining Europcar's global standards and EurGulf's local experience with VIP Rent a Car's focus on high-end vehicles and service. Their goal is to make travel in Dubai more convenient and digitally integrated for customers.

Dubai's hotel sector reflects this trend, with occupancy rates at 66% in August 2026, which is 89% of the previous year's level. The Dubai Media Office has reported double-digit growth since March, highlighting the city's resilience as a tourism and business center.

For VIP Rent a Car, the focus is on saving customers time. CEO Khaled Hamoudieh said the company aims to make every step of the rental process easy, flexible, and reliable, with an emphasis on digital solutions and quick service. He also pointed out that private companies play a key role in supporting the UAE's tourism goals by improving service and forming strategic partnerships.

The timing is notable. EurGulf Mobility is marking 50 years in the UAE, now managing over 12,000 vehicles at 14 locations and employing more than 1,200 people. The company is shifting toward technology-driven operations and training staff to keep up with changes in the mobility sector. This reflects Dubai's own investments in digital infrastructure and smart transport, in line with the Dubai Economic Agenda D33 and the UAE Vision 2031.

As visitor numbers rise and Dubai's transport networks expand, mobility is becoming a central part of the city's tourism experience. The city is moving from simply providing transport to offering a more connected journey. This shift is also seen in recent changes like stricter electric scooter rules to improve road safety and efficiency.

This partnership points to a clear trend: in Dubai's competitive tourism market, only mobility providers who can deliver speed, reliability, and digital integration will keep up. As the city's ambitions grow, so do expectations for smooth, efficient travel-whether by luxury car or shared ride.
