Dubai Police has signed a memorandum of understanding with Hawi Media Group, a global media company, to update how the force creates and shares visual content. The partnership aims to improve the quality and reach of Dubai Police's media, focusing on professional video production, documenting police initiatives, and using new media technology. This step is part of Dubai Police's ongoing efforts to modernise public communication and supports the city's digital transformation goals under the Dubai Economic Agenda D33.
The agreement was signed by Brigadier Omar Ali Ahmed Al Mutawa Al Shehhi, Assistant Director General for Criminal Security Affairs at Dubai Police, and Mohammed Anas Abbar, CEO of Hawi Media Group. Senior officers and company executives attended the signing. According to the Emirates News Agency (WAM), this MoU is one of several partnerships Dubai Police formalised during the Arabian Travel Market 2026 to support both visitor-facing and internal projects.
Dubai Police's leadership has made expanding partnerships with specialist media organisations a priority. The force plans to use modern media tools and advanced visual production to share its practices and operational results. This approach is part of the city's wider digital transformation, similar to other recent initiatives to update public services. Brigadier Al Mutawa Al Shehhi has signed several agreements in both criminal security and media, showing a coordinated strategy, as confirmed by the Dubai Police official website.
The partnership covers all areas of media production, including developing visual content, professional photography, event documentation, and sharing technical expertise. Both sides have agreed to support joint projects that will strengthen Dubai Police's media presence and help its communications reach all parts of the public. This fits with the UAE's ongoing investment in digital government services and infrastructure, as highlighted by the Dubai Media Office and supported by the Central Bank of the UAE's focus on digital innovation in public sectors.
For Dubai Police, this agreement marks a shift in how it communicates with the community. By working with professional media partners and focusing on high-quality visual storytelling, the force aims to be more transparent and accessible. For residents and visitors, this should mean clearer information about police work and a better view of the services that support public safety in the city. The partnership is also part of a group of seven memoranda of understanding signed by Dubai Police during the Arabian Travel Market 2026, as reported by Al Etihad, showing the force's commitment to joint projects with measurable results.
