For Dubai, the railway is relevant through freight corridors, logistics facilities and the way a national passenger network connects the emirate with other parts of the UAE. Etihad Rail is not part of Dubai Metro; its identity is federal, cross-emirate and closely tied to ports, industry and long-distance rail infrastructure.
