Dubai Financial Services Authority
1 article
Dubai Financial Services Authority is the independent financial regulator for the Dubai International Financial Centre. It authorises and supervises regulated firms in the DIFC and sets rules covering areas such as banking, insurance, investment services, market conduct, funds and anti-money-laundering controls.
For businesses and investors, the important boundary is jurisdiction: DFSA regulation applies within the DIFC financial centre rather than across the whole UAE banking system. Licence status, supervisory action and DIFC regulatory requirements are therefore the key context when a firm or product falls under the authority’s remit.
